Inspired by the Robert Frost poem, "The Road Not Taken", this necklace was created to represent the courage it takes to walk through challenges into new beginnings. Written as an homage to our youth artisans who have overcome countless struggles to forge new paths out of trauma and unspeakable hardships, this piece also applies to anyone who has or continues to overcome adversity and challenges to create a path for themselves. This pendant features three baguette shaped crystals in green (to represent the forest) in a formation that is reminiscent of looking down a path. The shades gradually brighten to represent light at the end of the path and we hope you wear this as a symbol of your own courage, strength and resilience to walk your one true path.

Materials

Gold-filled (chain & findings)

Unlike gold plating, the gold-filled process permanently bonds 2-3 layers of solid gold to a brass core so it is tarnish, fade and water resistant. These were made to wear just like solid gold but come without the hefty price tag.

Gold vermeil (pendant)

Gold vermeil is a form of thick plating that bonds gold over sterling silver as opposed to a base metal (i.e. brass or copper). Similar to gold-filled, these pieces are also tarnish, fade and water resistant as the plating is quite thick (at least 1.0 microns ā€“ double that of traditional plating).
