Designed in collaboration with Mic Carter, the founder of fashion house L'Uomo Strano, this necklace is a celebration of black history and culture. Featuring the Adinkra symbol Kojo Baiden, this symbol is manifested as an all-seeing eye that represents unity among us all: it is meant to remind us that we are all one with the universe and connected to each other. An additional baroque pearl symbolizes the growth of the African Diaspora.

Special Edition:  A special edition necklace is also available with an added Saturn charm which is central to Afrofuturism. Read more about the story behind this piece in our special product page.

In addition, $5 from every purchase will be donated to Supporting Our Youth, an innovative community development program of Sherbourne Health centered on supporting the health and well-being goals of 2SLGBTQ youth and young adults.

    Sizing

    • Length: 18" + 2" extender
    • Chain: 2.3mm rolo chain
    • Pendant: ~25 x 15mm
    • Pearl: ~9-10mm x 7-8mm

    Materials

    Gold-filled

Unlike gold plating, the gold-filled process permanently bonds 2-3 layers of solid gold to a brass core so it is tarnish, fade and water resistant. These were made to wear just like solid gold but come without the hefty price tag.

    Freshwater Pearls

Our pearls are natural and genuine freshwater pearls so they are truly one-of-a-kind. Pearls are delicate so please treat them with love and care!
